Rare and beautiful MCM design Baldwin piano! Designed and launched by Baker Furniture in the 1960’s, this piano is was also made to be a display piece, as it doubles as a room divider, possibly the only ever piano made to function as such.
This particular 947 is in great overall shape. Its former home was a chapel at a college in Southwest Florida. There are some remnants of students scratching their name into the front panel wood, but are only noticed once quite close and can be remedied. It will require tuning and replacement of some hammer felts in the lowest notes.
This is a rare opportunity to own this beautiful model of piano history, and at a fair price, given some of its imperfections.
Includes what appears to be the original accompanying bench.
