From the seller: "After much soul searching, we have decided to put our precious pair of sequentially numbered Neumann U48’s up for sale (mic #382 has a Telefunken badge and mic #383 has a Neumann badge). Both mics have the original Neumann “Base” badges. I purchased the pair from German Film Maker Detlef Gumm in 2017. I had the mics sent directly to Andreas Grosser for a full rehabilitation, including having the capsules reskinned by Siegfried Thiersch. They were used sparingly on a handful of sessions prior to taking them out of service in March of 2020.
